Peter Peter was lucky enough to visit the CERN Large Hadron Collider recently - I'm very jealous. No collisions today though, I enjoyed sitting in the back of the car as he drove flawlessly around Basingstoke chatting to the examiner. Thanks Peter - it's been fun.

Mehdi Mehdi is very talented – he speaks several languages and is widely travelled. He spoke the same language as his examiner today – driving -and breezed through his test. Congratulations Mehdi – I was so pleased for you. I’ll visit your shop next time I’m in town.

Rukshana Budding legal expert Rukshana had to wait quite a long time for her test – covid was responsible for lengthy delays. It was worth the wait though – a perfect drive today with no faults at all!! It was good to see your parents at your home after – it’s thirty years since Dad passed with me! Thank you Rukshana, and enjoy safe driving.

Kara Kara took a break from working hard for the NHS and studying hard at college to visit the driving test centre today. She came away with a rare distinction – no faults at all! Well done Kara – a very well deserved pass. Thanks for learning to drive with me and thanks to Mum and Dad for helping you practise.

Krishna Thankfully we both managed to wake up today, Krishna : – ) A test at the crack of dawn was no problem, apart from setting alarms… It’s been a pleasure helping you get your licence. Enjoy your 2^5 birthday and your upcoming trip.

Kara Instead of taking the train to London Mathilda drove to Basingstoke and took her driving test. No rail replacement service today, instead Mathilda stayed on track to an easy pass! Enjoy driving Mathilda, and stay safe. ATB!!

Sam Well done Sam! You’ve got a nice new driving licence to go with your nice new job. I hope you enjoy driving now you’ve passed, and I’ll keep an eye on the traffic lights when I’m behind the wheel ; )

Yuliya Just last week Yuliya got some stellar A level results, and she’s followed up this week by passing her driving test. I hear a rumour that the nightlife in Basingstoke might be quite lively tonight, too! I hope you have a lot of fun tonight Yuliya, and enjoy driving your nice car. It’s been a genuine pleasure : )

Liv Well done Olive!! A new job, a nice car waiting for you and a new driving licence! It’s been a bit of a journey what with lockdown test cancellations and virus fun but it’s all behind you now. I shall miss your lessons – there was never a dull moment : )

Joe After the emotional roller coaster of the Euro final on Sunday, today’s test was a piece of cake for Joe. A nice smooth drive around Basingstoke and Old Basing with his helpful and chatty examiner, and all the pressure was gone! I wish you all the very best for the future Joe, and enjoy driving carefully 🙂

Mwamba I think Mwamba set the world record for the shortest time between booking a test and passing: less than twelve hours! Booked last night after ten, passed this morning before ten. A pleasant way to spend a sunny midsummer morning 🙂 Congratulations Mwamba, enjoy driving and stay safe.

Morgan Morgan took her nice examiner for a quick tour of Basingstoke and Oakley and came back with her licence: well done Morgan! You can put all your worries behind you now. I told you it would be easy, didn’t I?

Oria Oria passed today! There was a short break in the rain which made life a bit easier (I left my coat in the car) and Oria made the most of it. Not only a skilled driver, Oria is an accomplished pianist and she hit all the right notes today!

Alice Globe trotting Alice has visited more countries than I ever will. It’s been interesting hearing about foreign climes. However, Alice confined herself to the streets of Basingstoke this morning and drove flawlessly (apart from that speed bump!) to get her full licence. Well done! Enjoy driving and resuming your travels when the current restrictions are lifted (sooner rather than later I hope).

Arran Arran is a Reading supporter! It doesn’t affect his driving though 🙂 He did something very unusual today in his early morning, drizzly test: he drove with no faults at all! That is a very rare achievement. Congratulations Arran, it’s been a pleasure helping you get your licence. Enjoy yourself in your Polo and (of course) take care.

Leila Leila’s test came up very quickly after the virus lockdown. No problem! Leila chatted to her lovely examiner non stop throughout the test and came away with a well deserved pass. Congratulations Leila – I hope to see you for a spin on the motorway.

Jared Jared takes after his Mum in that he’s a great driver and I had the privilege of teaching them both! Equally happy driving a tractor with a huge trailer or my tiny car, Jared drove really well today and deservedly passed. Enjoy driving your car Jared!

Nathan Nathan’s speciality is artificial intelligence and cloud computing which makes driving a piece of cake by comparison. A lovely drive around Basingstoke this morning followed by some “precision” parking 🙂 Well done Nathan, enjoy driving to your new job!

Ivan Ivan builds houses but work slowed today while he took his test – and also because the heavens opened and it rained very hard. The weather didn’t put Ivan off though – it was an excellent drive around the puddles. Good luck and safe driving, Ivan!

Tom Shy, retiring, lacking in confidence – fortunately Tom is none of these! With a “let’s go!” attitude Tom got stuck into his lessons and passed his test very quickly. He was determined not to cut any corners though (figuratively or literally) – and that’s the main reason for his success. Congratulations Tom!

Ashley Young children can be a bit tiring – especially if they don’t let you get to sleep until 4:30 am! Fortunately Ashley didn’t let this bother her, and took everything in her stride on her test today. A lovely drive, Ashley – well done!
